Emergency First Aid at Work

It is a requirement of health and safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment for their staff. Employers are legally required to assess their workplace in regards to first aid needs which should indicate the level of first aid trained personnel, as well as equipment and facilities required. This qualification is better suited to smaller, lower risk organisations, or where a first aid risk assessment identified the need for someone trained in first aid emergencies only.

This qualification ensures all learners are able to react quickly, effectively, and safely to a wide variety of medical emergenies that could occur within the workplace, including basic life support, choking and minor injuries.

Assessment & Certificate

The assessment takes place continually over the course and determines your knowledge, skills and understanding of managing and treating a variety of workplace emergency injuries and illnesses.

Qualification Renewal

The qualification is valid for three years from the date of assessment. To re-qualify you should be assessed against all of the same learning outcomes and assessment criteria. This is achieved by attending the emergency first aid at work course.
