AED & CPR

Placeholder image

Heart and circulatory disease causes around 200'000 deaths each year, many of which could have been prevented had a defibrilator been available. Following a cardiac arrest, a persons chance of survival decreases by approximately 10% for every minute that passes without treatment. However, by quickly starting CPR and applying defibrilation a persons chance of survival can be as high as 75%.

Automated External Defibrilator (AED's) are becoming more common in the workplace, as well as in public spaces. Public access AED's are located all across the UK and can be found in schools, supermarkets, leisure centres, and village telephone boxes.

This very practical course will show you how to perform CPR and safely use an AED with confidence.
