Life-Threatening Bleeding CPD

This is an excellent course designed for First Aiders who are involved in high-risk working environments. Please be aware, learners must hold a valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate in order to attend the course.

This 3-hour course will provide learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with the inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings whilst administering first aid in a high-risk working environment.

• Equipment
• Haemostatic dressings

• Environmental Factors
• Handover to the emergency services

Assessment & Certificate

Ongoing assessment will occur throughout the duration of the course, followed by a knowledge check quiz at the end of the course. This course is trainer assessed and the assessment will determine your ability to act safely, promptly, and effectively when a casualty has suffered a life-threatening bleed. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon successful completion.

This certificate does not expire.
