Did you know?

From September 2016, all newly qualified early years’ staff (with full and relevant level 2 or level 3 childcare qualification) must hold a current Paediatric First Aid or Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification to comply with the Early Years Foundation Stage, and be included in the required staff to child ratios.

This new requirement of the EYFS framework comes after government consultation and review following the tragic death of Millie Thomson, in October 2012.
